We went to the nature center that's near the pioneer village and my son found this beautiful map turtle 🐢 that hasn't been seen in our are since 1976. Hope he makes it. So if you take a visit, walk carefully around the pound you never know what you might find. Don't want to step on anything. Also we saw a baby deer. We kept clear cause you never know where mom might be. Don't forget to check out Scout the owl and Stryker the red tail hawk. Any questions the people working there are very helpful. Hope you go and have a great time.

Spent the day collecting fossils with my daughter. She loved it only place I know of to find small fossils just laying on the ground. Make sure to stop at the visitors center to get a permit.(No Charge)

Went with a group of volunteers to observe the spotted salamander and Jefferson's salamander migration. We were able to spot a couple hundred salamanders, and found several peepers and wood frogs. The guides were very friendly and informative.

Great place for hunting deer, Dove, pheasants, squirrels, and rabbits. Ok fishing. Ok mushroom hunting. The goose and duck hunting was terrible in 2022. Good place for Putting a kayak at the lake or on the little Miami River if you like bird watching this is the place great for nature photographers there is at least one eagle nest. If you're lucky, you'll catch them flying over the lake or above the Dove field number 2

the “Lizard” Forgotten

I love it here. It is gorgeous... I can't imagine how beautiful it is when it is green!

A beautiful place to get in touch with nature. My husband spotted a coyote track. Make sure to keep an eye on the little ones...children and pets. Love this place.
