Camouflage Ranch

Great views in Kicco wildlife Management Area. It Borders River Ranch Resort to the north and River Ranch Hunt Club to the West. And borders the Kissimmee River all down the east side. You can get here By Walking the Florida trail, by boat or By Vehicle, your choice, Lots of Turkey, deer and Wild Boar here to hunt, they have primitive camping area back by Rattle Snake Hammock .and plenty of spots to fish.

This is not where it is shown on Google maps. It is actually accessed from inside River Ranch Resort, between the glamping teepees/Conestoga wagons and the rodeo grounds. Putting the entrance to public lands inside a private resort should be criminal. These lands belong to everyone.

Greeted at the gate by the most cheerful and informative Host EVER! Audrey was a fantastic help for my first-ever visit to Kicco WMA. She provided excellent info on the roads & sites. I was on-site for several hours to just get the feel of the area and will definitely becoming back with a camping permit! The property was mostly high & dry with lots of shade at the camp areas (except maybe the Spoil). At any rate, 5 stars for this amazing WMA.

Camped overnight. If you drive in to camp, it's about 9 miles of dirt road. Nothing to do but wilderness. Don't go if you're not willing to take your trash out with you. Or if you're afraid of cattle, because it's free range, including camp sites. We heard extensive artillery and large ordinance explosions right next door (military) the night we were there, so might not be a restful place if you have PTSD.

Solar Punk

The KICCO spoils not much here 2 picking tables and 1 fire ring. Looks like good bike and horse trails near by. Plus the river is over 2 burms so if you have a canoe or kayak you could launch from here or near by.

Marina Geuracht

Not worth ruining your camper over. 12 miles of the WORST washboard roads. No way it's meant for vehicles. Hard Pass!

The spoil sucks but you can just drive up to the Town of KICCO camp instead, not monitored. A harrowing washboard road for 12 miles . Once ur there u ain't goin anywhere else.
