Great range, there are usually always a few people there who are super nice. Everyone follows the basic rules and everyone waits patiently for each archer to finish their bout before heading down range and collecting arrows. Will definitely visit again! P.S. If you visit please honor lane hot/cold rules and don't start running into the range once your arrows finish. Wait for a visual/verbal signal from each archer before heading down the range to collect arrows.
Nice range and close to home. I will definitely be coming back I need the practice. Do have to warn I almost got hit by buckshot from someone hunting for dove on the land to the left of the range. Be careful.
I had to drive an hour to get here but im glad i did. My local archery shop tends to get too busy and i really needed to sight my bow and get more practice. They have a (2) targets each at 10, 20, 30, and 40 yards. There is sidewalks to walk down for arrow retrieval. There is a sandpit for broadheads. People are very friendly, another marksmen took the time to help work with me on sighting my bow. Its great for someone like me who lives near the city and doesn't have the space to practice.
Thank you for offering this range. There may be some yahoos every once in a while but the convenience is fantastic!
Great place to practice archery with your friends or alone! State game land right next to it so you can go hunt after you practice ( hunting license required and rules apply). Great use of our tax money!
They need to have more of these at the game sites. This is the only archery range capable of sighting in with my broadheads. And I believe this is the only target range at a game land anywhere near me. It would be awesome if they would do this at all the game lands so I don't have to travel an hour and a half to sight in for a hunt since I live in the city I cannot discharge my bow in the backyard. And my local ranges do not allow broadheads. So just the fact that there is a really good game land that has this is awesome.
Follow the rules purchase a permit and this is a great place to fire. No bathroom no playground, no picnic area… it’s a shooting range….
A free archery range provided by your PA state hunters! All game commission land was purchased with hunter license fees using zero tax dollars. Enjoy a pair of 15, 30, 45 and 50 yard targets. Respect this new range and others while here and take your trash home with you. Plenty of parking. Needs someone to donate some benches to make it 5 stars. Thank you to our PA hunters.
