Absolutely the best hunting area I've ever seen. Has tons of deer, loads of feral hogs, squirrels as far as the eyes can see, and so many acres of vast untouched natural outdoors beauty.... Hard to explain with words. There is only one obvious problem with this place (and every other tx wma); there is NEVER any open hunting season for deer (lottery permit only) ever, feral hog season is super short (if you shoot a heavy hog, you will have to drag it for 4 miles minimum since the whole place is fenced off, and last, squirrel and rabbit season is only open during their hibernation so that hunters don't see anything for miles. There are thousands of raccoons but never any open season for it. It is obvious that we are paying hefty prices in annual hunting permits, stamps, and public access permits, just to empower these landhoarders to deny us our God-given right to harvest natural resources. They are denying us all access to public lands to enjoy nature and live off the land. Our animals now belong to the government.
