Our experience from start to finish was absolutely amazing! My boys were eager to try this activity during our trip to Alaska, so I did some research and initially found another spot. However, we got a bit lost and stumbled upon this place instead — and I’m so glad we did! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel right at home. We opted for the $20 panning experience and had an absolute blast sifting through dirt to find tiny gold pebbles, which we got to take home as a keepsake. There’s also a charming souvenir store with plenty of cute items. All in all, it was a fantastic and memorable experience!

This attraction is AWESOME! Simply put, it needs to be added to anyone’s itinerary who lives or is traveling through Fairbanks. Great for the whole family - the website says you can be out in 20 minutes if you have other things to do, but challenge yourself to leave that quick - the two sisters who own this gold panning learning center did great! We went without reservations during the weekday with the whole family including a 3-yr old and left 2.5 hours later after a lot of fun. Learning to pan for gold is great Alaska history and challenging, but everyone still leaves with a bit of good no matter what. A definite visit for everyone!😃

I've been thru to gold pan here 3-4 times and loved it every time! I'm a born Fairbanksan, been gold panning in a couple streams. But to find the gold here is super fun, even if you get the bag that's guaranteed gold ha ha thank y'all for being open seasonally! I'll be back again next year for sure. y'all have awesome crystals and gifts in the shop too! I got an awesome pyramid amethyst from y'all and have it in my window all the time with a few others. I had a great time!! Shania was an excellent coach!! She taught me how to gold sift with a pan, dirt and water. Amazing found some gold pieces with her help , enough to cherish my time in Alaska. Great place to experience the gold fever. Go to this place for panning gold. They explained how you should do this and then you can pan for yourself. They will help and guide you of needed. But after a few tries it's not that hard. They sell you a variety of bags depending on what you would like to do/spend. But there is gold guaranteed!! And if you have found it, you want to find more! The "museum" part isn't the reason why you would visit this place. It's some old machine/tools laying around the place. But for the gold experience it's cool. We had a lot of fun. And now posting this review from our new private island which I directly bought when we found all those good nuggets 💰💰

I had a great time and had fun looking for some gold. The gold daughters, Adelle,Shania,Veronica and Saleena are very helpful and guided us on how gold panning is done. They will be happy to help you if you're experiencing difficulties. The souvenirs are really nice too, you can use the gold collected and place it in a nice display. Thank you for the wonderful experience

We had such a great experience here with our 4 kids- age 3-13. They were very excited to try panning for gold and Erika and Max did an excellent job teaching us and pointing out the gold when we got some. The girls at the front desk helped us clean and dry our gold and we each left with a smile and a vile with some gold flakes! Great family activity!

This place was amazing. We went there by mistake ( meant to go to the pipeline) but ended up having the time of our lives. My dad and my son all panned for gold and had so much fun. Dorthy and Adele were so helpful and had so much patience with my son. I can’t wait to go back again! This is a must do
