Great place to walk and run your dogs. A few of us dog owners meet up for a pack walk once or twice a week at Home Run Blvd entrance. Always have a nice time, they’ve been clearing some land for fire mitigation, has made the trails even better. Some superb areas now to let the dogs run, and retrieve bumpers.

Some great trails, though you can tell by the growth the only one used regularly is the main gravel trail. Spot to put your boat in for some fishing, but call ahead to be able to get thru the gate. Saw some hawks some pretty flora, and lots of insects... Bring bug spray... Very clean, no trash anywhere in area except at entrance, and I'm sure that's from vehicles going by, not those that are enjoying the area...

Fences were closed when it said it was supposed to be open Edit: I appreciate the fast response, but would have appreciated it more if there was signage indicating the public can park in front of the gates and that bicycling or walking is allowed when the gates are closed. Will update review whenever I have the chance to check out the trails.

Hidden between I-4, CR 557 and US 27 you will find this nice marshy, reclaimed Wildlife Management area of 6,093 acres with miles of trails. The roads are hard packed and are good for biking or hiking. The roads are mostly unshaded so bring plenty of water and visit on a cloudy day. There were 5 trail entrances as of January 2017.

I learned today that Hilochee Osprey Unit is only accessible by bike or walking in non-hunting season. During hunting season, the only vehicle traffic allowed are hunters. The roads are well maintained and hard packed. You can drive any car...if you can access with a car. If you have limited mobility, you are out of luck.
