We love this campground. If you are lucky enough to have clear skies you have stunning views of Denali. The main hike is fairly easy and I’m not a hiker. It has many switchbacks and the views of Denali are amazing. The campground has electric for 30 and 50 amp both, no water or dump station. There’s trails throughout the campground which are really nice, the interpretative center is very cool. The campsites are spacious and fit our 35’ fifty wheel easily. If you can snag a pull through site those are really nice too. Most sites are very private and you can’t see your neighbors. We have okay cell service with AT&T at this campground. We try to go here one to two times per summer because we love it so much.

I was bicycle touring in Alaska this past summer and rolled into this campground hoping to find a campsite. For twenty dollars, this place is a steal. The camp host was great, gave out tons of information and recommendations where to hike and the features this campground has. I was able to camp here for two nights and while the weather was wet and cold, the campground made it more bearable but the plus when it gets colder and raining is all the animals come out. I saw moose, porcupine, Eagles, bears , magpies , and no mosquitoes. I would highly recommend this park and the Park Ranger Cindy is very awesome, well informed and very sociable..

Part of Denali State Park. Campground is one of maybe 3 campgrounds in this park. Sites are very spacious and widely spaced away from others. All the natural foliage and trees create privacy. Campsites are dark- perfect for stargazing. There is a view of Denali, weather permitting, from the interpretive center and from the Moose Flats Trail. Cindy, a ranger who works jointly with Denali National Park and Denali State Park, provided a “Ranger’s Choice” hike, which was enjoyable. There are other trails from this campground and the South View overlook is close by. Miss Mary’s Cafe is 10 minutes away, should campers get tired of cooking over the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Oh my gosh, if you’re traveling north and need a place to park your RV, this is it. Amazingly clean with all amenities including electric, water, garbage. Awesome trails everywhere and the view from Curry Ridge is the best! It was pre-fall and pre-Labor Day Weekend so felt super lucky to get a spot that evening. You can go online to reserve or sites 24 & 25 are first come first served which is how we hit our place. We will definitely be back!

The campground was spotless, well maintained and quiet. It was very picturesque with a scenic hike leaving from the campground up Curry Ridge. There was a nice amount of space between us and the other RV(s). I would definately stay here again.

This is a beautiful campground with universal access on a circular trail for those needing assistive devices or mobility help. The pavilion is fully ADA compliant, there are campsites that are ADA accessible, and there is a trail with incredible views of Denali (when it’s clear). Do remember that wildlife walks through the camp, so be observant for your safety.

FYI sites 24, 25, 26, 27 and 42 are first come first serve. The campground said full when we came through. We drove through to make sure and 42 was available, steep but doable. The pit toilets were nasty. Great hiking trails with extraordinary views of Mt. Denali.

Honestly the place is beautiful but the Ranger Rick in charge of it is truly a tool. Took us weeks to reach him then when we did he was rude and negative. We were trying to have our wedding out there and he hit us with a bunch of made up rules—no live music (even acoustic), 10 pm bed time (even on solstice night😂) just to find an excuse to deny us… honestly it’s just a place that caters to tourists at the expense of us locals… it’s sterile and over regulated by bureaucrats🤮—I’m good I regret putting 5 dollars in their box.
