A huge national park with lots of well maintained facilities and roads. Home of Ocean Pond and Osceola Beach. If you're hiking, driving through, swimming or horse back riding it's a great park and you will see some wildlife. Only thing to note is it can get busier in hunting season as it is a wildlife management area.
Great . If you're not hunting don't come during hunting season. Dont complain . Hunters only have 2 months of the year . Hiking have all year round . If you are hiking respect hunting season no come here
A bit far off the beaten path. We stopped here on the way to Atlanta from Miami. I'm not sure which pond we were at because there are so many little roads around the park. The pond we stopped at was relatively clean, the trash bin was overflowing and I found a shot gun shell on one of the paths around the pond. We didn't catch any fish, but the water was nice and clear. We saw some small bream and a couple bass, also evidence of bear activity a little deeper into the wooded area.
Fantastic place to visit. Hearing the hunting dogs screaming can get tiresome if you're camping for a few days but that aside it's a great place to go.
The area is quiet, and usually not crowded. The Skunk Apes tend to leave everyone alone also.
This place is fantastic for anyone from the glamper to the back woods camper. Ocean Pond has it all while Cobb and 17 Mile Camp have only porta potties.
Beautiful park, picnic area, great place.
Good camping areas.well maintained
