Nice place to hunt. However when I parked and walked into the woods, up on the left in the open field there were at least 7-9 dead deer laying on the ground. Does the state discard dead deer there by chance hit by vehicles?
Brought the wife and kids to do some gaming… not quite what we were expecting, as I am more of a bored man myself. There was a local Domino for lunch and we did hear of a Candy Land - but that was in the back of some guys van. We didn’t want to take that Risk, so we put on our Game Face and just left the whole Operation.
Super excited to be out in the woods again! Been a long time! Love the scenery, and the cardio I get from traveling this area! Please be safe when traveling any State Game lands!
Nice hilly walk 2 miles, with a more rugged spur off the main route to the top of the hill. Main route doubletrack. Recently cleared. Parking on Schoolhouse and Roundtop. Wear orange in fall- well used gamelands. Mdt hunters and fishermen just down the road.
This is a place I've been coming to since I was a young man.. I enjoy the walk up to the side of the Hills and the different stops along the way.. My friend took me see some new areas and trails... Most trail are wore well.. I like the Open Meadow and the exercises is phenomenal.. This trip I got to break in my new LL Bean Gortex hiking boots and everything was perfect... Yes - Go enjoy your state game lands :-)
Love this location as we hike and do Search and Rescue training with our dogs here, but we were here last night and the ticks are thick right now.
Was a nice walk. Even with my walker. Keep up the good work.😇
I have yet to see any deer here but it's great for an afternoon walk.
