Stayed at so called primitive campsite behind the Check Station has No toilets. They should consider porta potties. Most hunters told us they used the bathroom in the field (with toilet paper - environment issue). Hooks at campsite but No waterhose to wash down deer. Reporting/Orientation stated 10:30am on our instructions, but it's actually 7am on first day. Do Not hunt #14. Had a fire and animals left and haven't returned.

First year hunting this land, not bad. Probably best with boat, can get you to more remote corners. This duck season came really late, but when it hit, boy where there plenty of em.

Great wild hog population north of white oak creek and east of hwy 259, but this is very low area is normal very wet, lots of hog signs. Jan to March went out 5 time each time eventually seeing hogs each time but took some hiking. Bagged one boer and was even more of a hike out, take a buddy, plan accordingly, and stay hydrated.

This is the best managed WMA I have ever visited. The Wildlife manager (Baker) is very friendly and always willing to educate visitors on the local wildlife, plants, trees and rivers and creeks flowing through the property. Be prepared to hump your gear in and out and wear good water proof boots. There is a lot of bottomland to explore here.

The wma is very poorly managed , nothing is ever mowed ,tilled or improved i dont see where time and money is spent with no results, its not improved or changed in 20 years.. waste of money or time
