We love the wildlife management area. It’s an excellent birding spot with very few visitors. It requires a membership for hunting and you must sign in when you arrive, then check out when you leave. Has a shooting range, multiple lakes and is generally very peaceful.

Such a great range and place to practice tactics techniques and procedures. I highly recommend coming here for training. I couldn’t find the picture of the black bear that came o to the range with us but he was cool and left us alone for the most part.

Typically open to public on weekends, $10/per person day pass for exploring/fishing Old Florida... 100k acres of undeveloped land mostly slash pine , some oak and scrub. Dirt roads, 4wd recommended. Closed for main use as military training area Mon - Fri, but schedule varies. Primitive camping and hunting available but be aware military regulations are strict. This is NOT a state park don't expect the same treatment or facilities. Hunters dominate public use Oct - Dec. Area is also logged and has cattle leases, and monitors endangered species such as gopher tortoise and scrub jay.

Caught lots of fish and seen numerous wild hogs and Deer. A nice place to go camping.

The trip is awesome. The staffs are very nice and our captain is well known about the wet land. She knew about the alligators’ nest and has excellent driving skills. Worth to come back again.

Great kayaking creek. Lots of birds wonderful trees and even a few gators and a nursery with baby gators. Be kayaking here for years. It is a wonderful area.
