They do a drive true tour up there weeks before hunting season starts on that trail up there that dcnr forestry unit dose with the game commission as well
Great old railroad trail that's only open to vehicles once a year. There's several points of interest to stop and explore along the way. Be prepared as there's no public restrooms!
Wife had to go to conference in Harrisburg, told her I would go with her. But. . .the bucks have been really moving on eastern part of PA. I decided instead of missing out on 2 days in the deer woods, I would try going in on SGL211 cold. With On-x I found a spot I wanted to try, but when I got there at 445 am( sunrise was 738am), I had to find a quick second spot. I did and I saw good deer sign, just not deer. All in all, beautiful area, the game commission is active in bettering it for the wildlife, wish they did same amount on eastern side of PA, too. Nice place to hunt and for people who want to walk trails. Lots of nature to see for everyone. If I'm in area again, I will be back! Utube: Easternpawilderness
Excellent railroad bed riding /hiking Appalachian trail, well stocked trout stream and a hidden ghost town
Great place to hike and fairly easy and flat. I'd give it 5 stars if people picked up their trash.
I was here mostly to hike to Boxcar Rocks, but the area overall is beautiful! Great place to hike, view scenery, and hunt.
Had a great time hiking, dog loved it too. Huge area to explore.
Out hiking for five days with my cousins nice trail
